Broken Wings by Eli Oko

She had broken wings
Like a bird that can never fly, again
She had broken wings
She believed the dead will never die, again
She had broken wings
Hope kept her forever afloat
But yet the ground was all she knows
And around is where she goes
Cuts and bruises on her toes
Because
She had broke wings
And tomorrow had to come
She came with everything
Left with none
She had reminiscent wishes
On her ever-glossed lips
Buried in the deepest soil, her dreams were evergreen
She was the most cheerful person you had ever seen
With broken wings.
